Parts of the Hai Phong – Thai Binh Coastal Road are already in use, while the Ninh Binh – Hai Phong Highway (CT.08) is under development. The two routes are gradually adding new traffic flows between the Northern Coastal Region and the Southern Red River Delta. Located within this network, IDICO Vinh Quang Eco-Industrial Park offers convenient access to the region’s seaport system, logistics hubs and production centers.

TWO TRANSPORT CORRIDORS TAKING SHAPE

The Hai Phong – Thai Binh Coastal Road is gradually being completed, with parts of the route already in use, forming an important coastal transport corridor in Northern Vietnam. Located approximately 10 km, or around 10 minutes, from IDICO Vinh Quang Eco-Industrial Park, the route provides an additional option for cargo transportation along the coastal economic corridor south of Hai Phong.

The Ninh Binh – Hai Phong Highway (CT.08) is accelerated with an adjusted total investment of approximately VND 9 trillion. Upon completion, the highway will strengthen connectivity between the southern Red River Delta and Hai Phong and its seaport system, including Lach Huyen deep-water port. With its location in southwestern Hai Phong, IDICO Vinh Quang will gain an additional interregional traffic route once the highway is completed.

A STRATEGIC LOCATION WITHIN AN EVOLVING LOGISTICS NETWORK

Seaport connectivity: Via the existing road network, IDICO Vinh Quang Eco-Industrial Park is approximately 36–40 km (~60 minutes) from the Hai Phong port cluster and 60 km (~69 minutes) from Lach Huyen deep-water port. Once the Ninh Binh – Hai Phong Highway is completed, travel times are expected to be significantly reduced by easing congestion along urban routes, providing direct benefits for exporters in managing logistics costs and optimizing cargo handling operations.

Air connectivity: Located within approximately 40 km (~68 minutes) of Cat Bi International Airport, the industrial park provides access to air freight services for industries requiring rapid transportation, including electronics, high-tech manufacturing and precision equipment — sectors that are among the leading drivers of FDI into Northern Vietnam.

Regional connectivity: Located along the Northern economic corridor of Hanoi – Hai Phong – Quang Ninh and adjacent to Hung Yen, IDICO Vinh Quang Eco-Industrial Park has access to regional production centers and labor markets through the interregional transport network.

As one of the first two industrial parks in Vietnam to receive in-principle approval for development and operation under the eco-industrial park model, IDICO Vinh Quang has been planned and built to support manufacturing activities while meeting environmental requirements and promoting efficient resource use.

The opening of the Hai Phong – Thai Binh Coastal Road and the ongoing development of CT.08 represent notable developments in the region’s transport infrastructure. As these routes continue to be completed, Hai Phong’s connections with southern provinces and the Northern Coastal Region will gain additional options for passenger and freight movement – further strengthening the connectivity of IDICO Vinh Quang within the regional logistics network.
