On July 20th, 2026, Advanced Materials Zili Vietnam Co., Ltd., a member of Zili Group (Singapore), officially inaugurated its sintered corundum refractory materials factory at IDICO Phu My II Industrial Park. Construction was completed in just 9 months, making it Vietnam's first sintered corundum production plant and Zili Group's first project in Southeast Asia.
Rather than positioning the facility purely as an export-oriented manufacturing base, Zili Group structured the investment around three localization pillars:
Local sourcing: prioritizing raw material procurement within Vietnam and building out a domestic supply chain over time.
Local workforce and technology transfer: building operations on a Vietnamese workforce base combined with production technology transfer.
Local market access: selling into the Vietnamese market to strengthen the competitiveness of the domestic industrial materials sector.
This approach positions the facility as more than a production investment: it is a link in the development of Vietnam's industrial materials supply chain.
As the infrastructure developer of IDICO Phu My II Industrial Park, IDICO provides the industrial infrastructure platform connecting directly to the Cai Mep – Thi Vai deep-water port cluster, supporting operational and logistics conditions for investors. Zili Group's rapid completion and commissioning of the plant reflects the effectiveness of coordination between infrastructure developers and FDI enterprises throughout project execution.
