On June 11, Promea Biopharma Co., Ltd. – part of India’s Promea Group ecosystem, specializing in biopharmaceuticals, diagnostics and medical devices – officially broke ground on Phase 1 of its Biopharmaceutical and Medical Device Manufacturing Plant at IDICO Huu Thanh Industrial Park (IP), Tay Ninh Province, Vietnam.

With a total investment of US$30 million and a site area of 2.2 hectares, the project comprises manufacturing facilities, an R&D center, and supporting infrastructure. Backed by more than 25 years of experience in biopharmaceuticals, diagnostics and medical technologies, and a portfolio of over 100 developed products, Promea aims to establish an EU-GMP-compliant integrated manufacturing and research hub at IDICO Huu Thanh. The facility will focus on the production of biopharmaceuticals, specialty therapeutics, monoclonal antibodies, in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) products, and medical devices for both domestic and international markets.

The project represents a significant milestone in Promea’s “Made in Vietnam for the World” strategy, reinforcing Vietnam’s role as a manufacturing base for regional and global healthcare markets. Once operational, the facility is expected to strengthen Vietnam’s pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing capabilities, support the development of the healthcare supply chain, and create skilled employment opportunities for the local workforce.
Promea’s decision to locate its investment at IDICO Huu Thanh IP highlights the growing attractiveness of the park for Life Sciences and healthcare-related industries. In addition to its strategic connectivity to Ho Chi Minh City, airports and key logistics networks in Southern Vietnam, the IP offers competitive investment costs and ready-to-develop industrial land, enabling efficient project implementation and future expansion.
Prior to Promea, IDICO Huu Thanh IP had already attracted notable companies in the pharmaceutical, healthcare and pharmacy retail sectors, including Cuu Long Pharmaceutical, FPT Long Chau and La Terra France. Their presence continues to strengthen the healthcare ecosystem within the industrial park and reinforces its ability to attract high-value, technology-driven investments in the years ahead.
